We had been talking about a computerized POS system for a number of years, deciding to actually do something in the months leading up to the GST implementation. After months of deliberation we opted for a Macintosh version of ShopFront.

We run a diverse Business with GST free and assorted goods and services wich include an antique shop, a complete home and furniture restoration emporium, a deli, a wide range of specialist gifts (such as dolls and teddies), a science education and creative thinking store, a platypus interpretation center and a gym, spa and sauna.

We are small but with about 400 suppliers and tens of thousands of products, our pen and paper system was getting out of hand.

We are now underway with the new system. An iMac, cash drawer, receipt printer, barcode scanner on the front counter. An AirPort enabled iBook for management allowing us to work from anywhere in the shop without worrying about cables. This is particulary handy because we are in an old solid brick building and upstairs.

The ShopFront support team have been very helpful. Immediately available on the phone and quickly solving problems as they arise. They even made some program changes that helped us with some of our peculiar needs. ShopFront are providing the support and expertise that you hope for, assuring me a rapid solution to any problem.

Over twelve months ago Harry van der Veeke, the owner of CD Power/Book Power located in Lavington near the New South Wales/Victorian boarder, was searching for a Point of Sale System.
